I realised that there was never a formal announcement here to read up:
The Catara NWN server is offline for quite some time now, due to time constraints. I might revive it someday, but it is pretty unlikely. If anyone wants to use our custom classes or tools, ping me on twitter (@jollyorc) and we can see what we can do for you!

Storyline - Undead Bandits

Vincent Fangtooth is back with a vengeance. He's teamed up with a few Talore witches of the Raven clan to build himself an undead bandit army!
(ok, he's still in the early stages, robbing crypts and experimenting so far. And the only meagre three zombies he's got so far had been ground to dust by Pierto, Tirk & Shandor yesterday.)
The three were on yesterday evening, and I possessed one of the merchants in Catar. He told them that he's been ambushed by bandits the day before, just outside Southgate.
Turns out that the Cult was missing one of their Comferrs too, a young lad named Martin Stonebreaker.
Upon investigating the small village graveyard, the three heroes captured a lone Fangtooth sniper who had sentry duties. They questioned him a bit, but he wasn't that useful in the end. As they tried to turn him over to the city guard, the sniper ran off and jumped into the river, escaping...
In the crypt they found quite a large nest of bandits, along with two witch warriors. (note to self: Need to tweak those. They have 5 sorcerer levels, but not one spell!). They killed everyone, and then discovered a foul altar and the undead.
so far, their clue is that the witches and the bandits seem to work together, nothing more yet. -
I created a new type of Zombie, to reflect the workings of that witch - it's "Fangtooth Dead Reaper" on the palette. The chap's armed with a scythe, spreads disease and is fast. Use him for shock&awe style attacks :)

Neat. So, are these bandits actual, mindless zombies, or are they vanilla undead that you are using zombies purely for the look? Just so I know should I decide to spawn some.

I think non-zombies would be more fun to mess around with. Zombies are pretty one-dimensional.
